This new single-family residence in Pacific Palisades presents a distinctly modern architectural expression defined by clean , balanced proportions, and a refined interplay of solid and void. The design articulates a strong horizontal rhythm across the façade, anchored by a centrally positioned balcony and an expansive roof deck that open toward sweeping Pacific Ocean views, creating a striking visual connection with the surrounding landscape. Carefully composed massing, layered volumes, and linear geometry establish a sense of visual order and composure, while generously sized glazed openings and floor-to-ceiling windows introduce abundant natural light and a sense of transparency throughout the home, blurring the line between interior and exterior.
Task
Inside, a fluid open-plan arrangement seamlessly connects living, dining, and kitchen spaces at the heart of the residence, while private bedroom zones on either side provide both spatial efficiency and intimate retreat areas. Thoughtful material selection, subtle textural contrasts, and meticulous detailing reinforce the home’s architectural clarity. The roof deck, designed as a contemplative outdoor retreat, further enhances the home’s connection to its coastal setting, offering panoramic ocean vistas and a serene space for relaxation or entertaining. The result is a contemporary coastal dwelling that embodies precision, elegance, and a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle, capturing the essence of modern design in harmony with its scenic Pacific setting.
