Living Layering

Set within the dramatic landscape of the Hollywood Hills, Living Layering is a 20,000-square-foot contemporary residence organized across four levels, where architecture, landscape, and everyday life unfold as a continuous sequence.

The design uses a series of strong geometric frames to create layers of space, light, and views. A 30-foot-tall, triple-height entrance lobby forms the vertical core of the residence, connecting the four levels while establishing a sense of scale and openness. Around it, the home is organized through a central courtyard and infinity pool that serve as the heart of the composition.

Private and communal spaces are carefully layered throughout the residence—from expansive living and entertainment areas to a generous primary suite, guest and staff quarters, a home theater, gym, spa, wine room, and rooftop entertainment spaces.

The architecture’s restrained material palette and sculptural geometry allow the residence to merge with its hillside setting, while carefully framed openings extend views toward the Los Angeles skyline. Here, living is experienced not as a collection of separate rooms, but as a series of interconnected layers—each revealing a new relationship between interior, landscape, and horizon.
