Skycut Axis
This luxurious new two-story single-family residence in Pacific Palisades explores the relationship between light, form, and spatial movement through a refined contemporary architectural language. The project’s defining gesture — a carved central void — creates a dramatic entry sequence while allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the core of the home through strategically positioned skylights.
Designed around a floating staircase and an open-concept layout, the interior spaces flow seamlessly toward the backyard and pool through expansive sliding glass doors, strengthening the connection between luxurious indoor and outdoor living. Clean geometric forms, warm natural materials, and carefully framed openings establish a balance between minimalism, comfort, and sophistication.
A rooftop deck overlooking the ocean extends the living experience vertically, complementing the series of outdoor spaces integrated throughout the project. Together, these elements shape a residence defined by light, openness, and luxurious architectural clarity.
Task
The scope of this project included the design and development of a luxurious two-story single-family residence in Pacific Palisades, emphasizing contemporary minimalist architecture, spatial openness, and natural light integration. The project involved architectural design, interior space planning, and indoor-outdoor living coordination, centered around a carved architectural void that introduces daylight into the heart of the home. Additional features included a floating staircase, expansive glazing systems, rooftop deck with ocean views, and multiple outdoor living areas designed to enhance the overall residential experience.
