Phoenix
Situated on a coastal hillside in Pacific Palisades, this single-family residence redefines resilient living through a design that merges contextual sensitivity with refined functionality. Conceived in response to the site’s history of wildfire impact, the home employs fire-resistant materials, layered landscaping strategies, and robust construction detailing to ensure long-term durability and safety.
The architectural composition reflects clarity and restraint — a low, horizontal profile integrated into the topography, with a façade articulated by warm natural textures, stone accents, and vertical wood panels that echo the tones of the surrounding landscape. A carefully choreographed entry sequence leads to a central open-concept living core, where kitchen, dining, and lounge areas flow seamlessly toward outdoor deck and framed views of the Pacific Ocean.
Private bedroom wings extend on either side, optimizing privacy while maintaining a continuous connection to natural light and cross-ventilation.
