Nord Warm
We set out to craft a contemporary, open-concept design that radiates natural warmth for this addition and remodel of a single-family home in Sherman Oaks. By seamlessly connecting the living room, dining area, and kitchen to the outdoor space, we improved circulation while maintaining clear definition between each functional zone.
Task
The thoughtfully curated layout brings the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas together in a cohesive and welcoming atmosphere. Continuous natural wood flooring ties the space together, while the kitchen stands as a central focal point—featuring clean-lined wood cabinetry and a bold dark stone island that serves both as a workspace and informal seating area. A vertical wood accent wall anchors the dining area at the heart of the home, lending a subtle nod to modern Nordic design and further enriching the space’s inviting character.
